Kelly Rowe
Grew up in Kinston,NC and went to school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Go Heels!
Moved to Los Angeles in 1999. I work as a preschool teacher and high school volleyball coach.
Started playing beach volleyball on the Jersey Shore with JSVBA. My first tournament win was a BB with my favorite partner Jen Zanna. I eventually worked my way up to Open level and fell in love with the lifestyle.
In California, I played on the CBVA and earned a AAA rating. Played one year with the BVA. Played on the AVP from 2001 to 2006. Best finish was a 17th.
In 2007 made the switch to the EVP and had a blast! I love playing with my partner, Carrie Wright. I love hanging out with the tour players at the post parties. I love the one day tournament format. It is a competitive, exhausting, and exciting day of incredible volleyball that lets me travel all over the country doing something I love and meet new people at every stop. I especially enjoy playing on the east coast stops because my family can watch me play and it's where beach volleyball started for me.
When I'm not playing volleyball I like to read, go to the movies, and dance, dance, dance!!!
In February 2008, I married my long time boyfriend, Dennis Marlow, who is also a volleyball player.
